Alan B. Schaeffer

Alan has been with Pickrel, Schaeffer & Ebeling for over 45 years, working in the firm’s Real Estate and Business Department. Alan represents buyers, sellers, owners, engineers, architects, contractors, and appraisers.

In the area of real estate development, Alan is typically involved in all facets of a project, from land acquisition and zoning to contract preparation, construction, leasing, and financing, through end use or sale. He is very familiar with environmental, land use, engineering, construction regulations, and public and private finance issues. Alan has most recently been involved with several of the area’s largest commercial/retail construction projects.

Alan has represented a number of municipalities during his career. The public sector exposure has been a great compliment to his real estate practice and his real estate expertise has been a great benefit to his municipal clients.

In his spare time, Alan lectures on recent developments in real estate and zoning law. He has conducted educational seminars for Associated Builders and Contractors (ABC), Associated General Contractors (AGC), the Miami Valley Chapter of the Ohio Planning Association (MVOPA), the Ohio Planning Association, the Ohio State Bar Association, and CLE Educational Programs. Alan has also been an adjunct Professor of Real Estate Law at the University of Dayton Law School.
